Where to Buy Ribbon Shakers?

Abby, on May 14, 2014 at 12:14 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 7

Did anyone buy ribbon shaker sticks (the things you can use during the send-off in lieu or sparklers or bubbles)? Is there a place that sells them? Or is that someone you have to DIY?

I'm a BM for my friend's wedding on 5/31 and she just decided she wants ribbon shakers since the venue won't allow sparklers. I'm trying to do a few projects for her and this is one of them! Thanks!

My co-worker got married last April and had them--they were super cute! She just diy-ed them. She said they weren't hard at all, just buy a few diffferent rolls of fabric/ribbon and then wood dowels. There was also a cute sign next to them that said something along the lines of "grab a wand for well wishes for the new mr. and mrs." or something like that. Here's the actual photo from her wedding.

I made my own, because I wanted the colors to match my bridesmaid dresses. They are easy to make but they are time consuming if you have to make a lot of them! They did come out so nice though Smiley smile

I am currently making ours and they end up being pretty inexpensive but they are very time consuming. Unless you want them personalized with special ribbon, I say buy them.
