Where to Buy Mix & Match Bridesmaid Dresses & Cost

VegasWed!, on January 13, 2017 at 3:27 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 16

My original plan was to mix and match through J.Crew but they discontinued their bridal line. Anyone know of any similar websites with affordable dresses you can mix and match?

How much did your BM dresses cost? If I can't find anything else, I might jump on that beaded/sequin trend I'm seeing everywhere. Problem is the sparkly ones I like average around $380. I feel guilty asking my bridesmaids to spend that much on a dress.

David's Bridal and Azazie are great for picking a dress color with tons of different styles! Also check out Lulus, The Dessy Group, and Alfred Angelo!

Here's a great past post with tons of answers on average bridesmaids dress cost:

But before you shop - you need to ask your bridesmaids individually what their dress budget is, and then accommodate the lowest budget!

Show me your mumu is awesome. They're $140 to $200. $380 seems really high, but as long as they're ok with it I guess that's all that matters.

I didn't even think to just ask them what budget they're comfortable with first. Yikes. Thank you all for the tips and heads up!

Lulu's has some gorgeous sequin dresses for $100 and less. Definitely confirm a budget with everyone, if a bride asked me to pay $380 for a BM dress without asking me first I would duck out asap, since I'd have to choose between making my car payment or paying for a dress I'll wear once.

Weddington Way! My friend put her wedding together in about 3 months, so we didn't have a lot of options, but they were great and super easy to work with, fast, I think my dress was around $150, it had pockets, and was mix and match with the rest of the group. It came with a nice ish hanging bag to carry it in and I even wore it again to another wedding.

ETA:all 6 bridesmaids and the bride lived in different cities all over the country, so going to a store together was out of the question

David's Bridal is great for this. My girls all had the same color, length, and material with different tops. I let them pick whatever they felt most comfortable wearing.

I used David's Bridal. All the girls dresses are the same color, material, and length but the style of the top is different. Davids bridal also works with men's warehouse so they can match the guys tuxes to the dresses.

I chose a local bridal salon that carried Alfred Angelo dresses. I had told my girls the length, color, & material they had to wear. If they wanted to spend $140 or $265 it was their choice. Here is the results.

Bhldn has a nice selection. My girls picked out a Bagdley Mischka evening gown that looked amazing.
