Where to buy bridal lingerie?

Mrs. G, on January 9, 2017 at 2:34 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 19

I want to start shopping for Bridal Lingerie (mostly because I recently got my Christmas bonus). I know of Victoria Secret/Nordstrom/Macy's that sell lingerie, but where are other good shops? Also, I am not usually the Lingerie type, but want to surprise my FH on the honeymoon. What are must haves (obviously Hankey Pankeys - but I think my family will give me some of those)?

Honestly, I'm not spending anything on lingerie that will just have to be taken off to get to the good stuff, haha.

For under your dress, depends on your size and what you want it to accomplish. I couldn't find any full-body shapewear that fit all of me correctly so I ended up with a stomach/shorts piece and a longline bra that I'll be wearing together. I got the bra at David's and the shorts at Dillards.

Well for my dress, I'm just doing spanks. I'll have cups built in so I don't need the bra. Don't think I'm going to wear panty hose because I want to show off my toe nail polish. I think I'm set for the day of, but not sure for that night...

If there is a specialty lingerie store near you, I would recommend that over Victoria's Secret. I'm not a fan of Victoria's Secret lingerie.

I have some from Frederick's. I've also found some cute sets at JC Penny and Amazon. I'm also not a huge fan of VS - I find them overpriced and I don't love most of their styles.

Depends on your dress...I probably will just have cups sewn into my dress and will wear my normal undies underneath (I mean i might buy something pretty...But yeah) my dress is a ball gown so no need for any smoothing action going on!

I know adore me you need a subscription. Little nervous about those subscriptions. I'm set for the day of as I have my first dress fitting tonight actually! But I may need some more bridal stuff (bachelorette party etc)

I shop at Adore Me. So far I love it! @animallover2017 you actually don't need one. Or at least I haven't been required to do so.

There are romance/sex shops that you will find some nice lingerie. I found something nice for someone's bridal shower. Here's a pic (it's not a full pic)

If you want something classy, definitely go with Macys or Nordstroms. If you want something cheap and sexy, definitely check out yandy.com!!! It looks kind of sketch but I have ordered from them multiple times, have always been happy with my order, they ship quickly and send you a free pair of panties with every order!

I have a red satin chemise and a white corset from Frederick's of Hollywood, the corset for my wedding night. I love their products, and FH loves seeing me in them. They're good quality and fit really well. I absolutely love my corset. Try looking there, they have conservative babydolls and chemises as well as naughty more exposed lingerie.

AdoreMe is great. You technically sign up for a subscription, but you can cancel it or skip months until you want to use it again super easily. I bought some lingerie from them for a shower for one of my friends, because the first piece is always super discounted, she loved it!

This was posted a few months ago, so you’ve probably found a good lingerie shop already. But I’ll answer it anyway because there might be readers here who need more suggestions. It’s great to check out physical lingerie stores, but in my experience, the shops in our area have a limited selection of undergarments. That’s why I think you should search online so you can find a wider range of affordable lingerie. In fact, I actually purchased the lingerie I wore at my wedding from an online shop instead of a physical boutique. I bought such undergarments from this online provider of Empreinte lingerie suggested by one of my bridesmaids. For the must-haves, I don’t think there are any. Just pick the lingerie that will make you feel most comfortable and confident when you wear it, and you’re good to go.
