Where Should i Get Married?

Preciosa, on June 14, 2019 at 1:25 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 10
Hello everyone! So I am just shy of being 20 years old and my fiancé and I get married in a year. However, I do not know where to get married. I never went to many weddings and if I did I was too young to remember. And ALL of my family members who are married got married in a court house. Do you guys have any suggestions? (Not necessarily the location to get married but like like in a church, hotel, ranch, etc...) I want it to be an amazing venue, and my fiancé does too. We have been looking but there are just a lot of hotels which are VERY expensive. We want something that is naturally beautiful (outside), and does not need much decorating. (If it helps we are wanting to be married in the Dallas area).

Maybe try barns and cabins. While hotels are expensive most the time food is included and that is a huge part of the price.

I would look at venues that have packaged deals or search wedding package venues on google. I know there are several places where I live in AZ that have them. I don’t know where you live.

Look into Rustic Grace Estate! I am getting married here in August, here’s a photo of the wedding chapel and the farmhouse reception building.

FH and I also looked into The Springs Denton which had a GORGEOUS outdoor ceremony and a nice large barn indoor for the reception.
A few other places we’d talked about were Hidden Jewel, which is brand new and I believe will be open officially this August (they may only have a facebook page) and The Establishment Barn. Feel free to message me about more details, I’m in the McKinney area of TX and have lived here my whole life and looked into quite a few places in the Dallas area. Congratulations!!

You can look at places like museums and gardens/arboretums. They have a lot of character and usually need less decorating. You can also look at private estates such as plantation and manor houses. Check out the venue section of WW and The Knot. Good luck on your search.

Cedar Hill Nature Preserve, River Legacy Park in Arlington, Denison( way up north past Denton, but BEAUTIFUL!). The Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth. Type in Public Parks for weddings in DFW into Google & see what it shows.

Local parks, barns, Forests, gardens, nature reservations, museums, if you'll be 21 by the time your married you can look into brewery, winery. There's event halls like VFW, The Elks, ect.
I got an Elks Lodge on the beach for mine, my friend got married in a rustic firefighters hall. They don't need decorations because the venue is it's own style.

Talk to your FH and see what you both agree on for your venue. Then set your budget, do your research, and visit your favorite options. You wont know what you like/dislike until you actually see the venues in person. Pictures can only do so much. You can also call the venues before setting an appointment.
