Where should I buy my veil??

Kelly, on June 18, 2016 at 3:29 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 25

I just bought my dress and loved the veil they had me try on at thr store, but I held off on buying the veil with the hope that I could find something a little more economical. Where did you all buy your veils?

I got mine, cathedral length, shimmer with pearls on eBay. It was perfect. It was only $20 so I figured I'd buy it and if it wasn't right I wouldn't have lost much. In the bridal shops a similar one was €300!!

I made my own. There are amazing shops on Etsy that sell veils for decent prices. Amazon has some cheap veils, but in my experience tend to be stiffer than I personally like. If you have a good idea of what you want I could give you a quote on what it would cost to be made custom.

I made mine. The ones I wanted were all like $400+ with most being more like $800+ and even then weren't perfect. So my mom and I made it and it only cost $12 and it was more beautiful than anything I had ever seen. The seamstress kept saying how great it was and couldn't believe we had made it.

I got mine for $28 on Amazon. It looks almost identical to the $150 one I loved in store!

I got mine on Amazon for $13 it looks just like the one I tried on at David's that was over $200. I wanted a long cathedral veil but didn't want to spend a bunch of money on it.

I bought three on Amazon and returned them all. They were awful! I was trying to save money. I ended up buying mine at Alfred Angelo, they let me come in and try them on with my dress even though I didn't buy it there. They were sweet.

I spent almost $700 though on a cathedral veil, a fingertip length one to "stack on top of it" and a metal crystal hair clip there. Ouch!

I bought my cathedral length veil from Alfred Angelo for under $300. It was glitter net edged with crystals, and it was beautiful!

Unfortunately I am THAT girl who ended up with a veil from the bridal store that I am sure I paid too much for. But my mom fell in love with it when they put it on with my dress and said it reminded her of hers (which I would totally wear if it was in any condition to). She wouldn't let it go after we left but I at least managed to hold out long enough for it to go on 20% off sale. And it IS gorgeousSmiley smile Cathedral length, fully detailed and beaded on edges for $550.

OP - I had a similar story. I was not going to wear a veil at all until they put it on me. I loved it and I was thinking about it until they told me that it was 250 bucks. I said no think you. Then I was on a wedding yard sale group in my area on Facebook and I found the exact same veil. A woman bought it (a finger tip length) and then decided to get a double veil. She sold it to me for 50 bucks. I was stoked.

Toni Federici. I bought it at the bridal salon. It was probably too much, but I lived it
