Honestly I would start of with listing any must haves for the wedding day like first looks, reading vows, ceremony run down, photos, traditions, and reception ideas down first. Also, given that you have your venue you can know the amount of hours that your venue is giving you for your day. This can help you coordinate how long you want to spend on ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and send off. Pinterest has a ton of outlines for timelines that can be custom to your ideas. Best Wishes ✨

Like creating a rough draft of a timeline? But Thanks! I’ll start with all the little (important) things that I’d probably forget closer to the date🥰🥰

Start by shopping for your wedding dress. Once you find the perfect dress it has to ordered and that usually takes 3-4 months depending and the alterations another 8 weeks or so (this is according to David’s Bridal)
Follow social media accounts that give you helpful tips reminders and ideas.

I am a Oct 2022 bride and learning a lot from tik tok hehe.

Well you have the biggest part down! There are plenty sample wedding timelines online with what steps to do and in what time frame..they have been helpful for me! But Next I would list some vendors you have your eye on…photographers, videographers dj, florist officiant…etc. I would start to book those vendors next especially the photographer they tend to book up quickly. You also should begin wedding dress shopping. It can take 6-9 months for a dress to come in and then 2-3 for alterations so it’s best to start soon. Save the dates can wait till about June/July.. formal invites wont need to go out unrill November. A year will go so by quick! Good luck!

I assume that since you picked a value, you've already set your budget and guest count. Now I recommend looking for other vendors such as a photographer, florist, and DJ.

January ‘23 buddies!!! We’ve just set the date and requested our venue contract so are now taking care of vendors- decor/florals, hair and makeup, dj and photographer. I think we’re going to have our coordinator (a family member) be our officiant as it is a symbolic ceremony due to being destination . I just made a dress appointment for March since we’ll be gone for half of February for another destination wedding. Oh! Also got the shoes. I’d start start with vendors and then go from there

HI and welcome! Start with budget first, always budget. Then determine how much of the budget goes to each expense. That will determine how many guests you can afford to have.

There are planning apps around, have a look at those.

    Happy planning!

The weddingwire app has a checklist that saved my life while planning. It's pre-filled with the usual things and if you play around with it you can add what you need or take out what you don't.

Yess look up topics on tik tok and you will see so many videos. I searched tips for wedding dress shopping and was exposed to the tik tok bridal world haha.

I also went to a bridal bazaar this month and met so many vendors that had promotions or special offers. Some even had raffles and giveaways!
I won a free engagement photo shoot, wedding mood planner board, and a boudoir shoot!
    All is so exciting!

Vendors!! I started booking vendors a year out back in October and had some people tell me they were booked for our date a year later. I follow some of my vendors online and they’ve started booking for 2023 already! So I would get on your vendors asap. Coordinator, photographer/videographer, DJ and caterer especially. I booked all my vendors in like a month and a half and the deposits were killer but we couldn’t take any chances waiting with people telling me they were booked already. And we’re getting married on a Sunday so for that to be booked goes to show something. Also dress shopping! I was told when I got my dress that there’s quite a backup getting dresses in due to Covid unless you buy one right off the rack but if you are planning to order one I would start looking around soon

You need to lock that down. You don't want to go into debt for the wedding. The best way to save money is to keep the guest list low. Really. Don't look at the pretty stuff until you have the business sorted first.

After the venue I started with my dress. I wanted to make sure I found one with enough time so I wasn't stressed. Then I booked my photographer. Some of them have engagement photos you could use if you are doing save the dates, you might be able to get several things done once you have the photographer.
Have you and your FH talked about decorations, flowers, things like that? I know it's silly but we have a winter theme with green, silver and rose gold. I went to Michaels yesterday and found all the decorations I needed on sale since COVID has messed with shipping. Not bad to look into that and see if you can save on that
I would also look at where you are spending the night before, getting ready the day of, and transporting. I know the timeline on here says months out, but I am finding everything for next year is getting booked fast. Hope that helps!Tina
