Do you know if you want to get married inside or outside?

Breath! This is supposed to be fun and one of the most exciting times in your life!

    Here is where to start.

    1. Budget

    2. Draft of your guest list

    3. Decided size and overall vision of wedding (big or small, inside or outside, city or county, ballroom or backyard, time of year etc.)

    4. Start looking at venues that fit your vision, size, and budget

    You got this!

Do you want Rustic or do you want more of a country club look?

This is a great tip. thank you.

I think my biggest thing is that, we more so know what we don't want, rather than what we do want. if that makes sense.

I started with getting a rough budget together and then started with my guest list considering my family is huge and then went to looking at venues.

You can look at the venue option in the tabs and start looking if you have an idea of what you want and where you want it. You sound like you have an idea. Just take a deep breath!

This is very helpful. thank you.

it feels like our budget right now is like $0 LOL, so it seems crazy to try and decide how much is ok to spend.

Oh I know. I had to really look at pricing whenever I fell in love with a place because there are some that are outrageous. But if you know a little of what you want it doesn't hurt to just look and possibly get a quote.

We started with a guesstimate of how many people I figured we would be at, and started with a venue based on our wish list. Then I went major things like photographer, and dj.. it just starts falling into place. You got this! Smiley sexy

    1. DATE
    2. GUEST LIST
    3. VENUE
Everything else will fall in to place.

We did exactly that way too. 1 month into our planning we have secured our venue, booked our DJ. Photographer is next.

The beginning stages of planning can be very stressful. I know they were for me. This is what my FH and I did.

    1. Budget

    2. Picked our Date

    3. Made our Guest List

    4. Made a list of must haves for our wedding venue / the day in general

    4. Start looking at venues

We picked our date and made our guest list as two of our first few things so we would have a rough estimate of how many people we planned on inviting for when we started touring venues. That way, they could give us as close of an estimate as possible for the number of guests we are having.

The venue can be one of the hardest things to find, especially if you want a specific date and are not open to the idea of moving your date to get the venue you want. I would say make your guest list and get your venue nailed down first.
