I'm having such a hard time trying to find shoes I like. I'm looking for a heal (around 3-4 inches) but don't have a specific image in my head. I've looked at the Macy's in NYC and have looked at Nordstrom. I'm hesitant about online shoe shopping because I'm in between sizes (sometimes a 8 sometimes 8.5). So if its online I need a really good shipping & return policy.

Where have you all looked? Where did you end up buying your shoes???

I ordered online from Nordstrom. The first pair I ordered ended up fitting perfectly, but they had an amazing free returns policy and you can return shoes you order online in store.

Have you tried DSW? Also, if you order online from Nordstrom’s or Macy’s you can always return them at the store if they don’t work.

I've had good luck with Tom's but you kind of have to just check in seasonally and see what they have. I have flat toms, but I almost bought their wedding wedges

I found my shoes at Nordstrom's, I went in and fell in love. They were $170 though and I just didn't want to spend that knowing that I would never ever wear them again. Nordstrom has some really great shoes online for special events and weddings.
Luck would have it, I found them on clearance at another store for $45! Sweet! That only happened by chance. I would have most likely convinced myself to buy them in a month or so.

I found these at Macy's and fell in love when I put them on. I'm not wearing anything super blingy for the wedding, so these are my one blingy item. They're so comfortable too! I little more than I was originally wanting to spend, but I know I'll wear them again eventually for something.
