Where Can I Find A Silver Birdcage Card Holder?!?!?

Teaira, on June 10, 2014 at 8:48 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 14

Hey yall! I am having a trouble finding a silver birdcage that's not too expensive. I have been on etsy and found a few silver ones that I like however with shipping and handling they come up to about $80. Can someone please tell me somewhere else I can find a bird cage that will hold at least 75 cards? I have no problem if its plan silver...Ill just decorate it with some ribbon if needed. I just don't want to have to pay $80 for a birdcage that I will probably not be able to keep because its a destination wedding. HELP PLEASE! My wedding is August 10! Thanks in advance.

Check out Hobby lobby! I know they have a ton of bird cages and silver spray paint is $7 a can!! You can download their 40% off coupon from their website on your phone but most of the time they're half off anyway!! That's where I found my stagecoach.

By a white or black bird cage and spray paint it with that glossy colored silver? Please becareful using a birdcage for a wedding reception. Make sure it's in your view all night. A friend of mine had went to a wedding and had a bird cage card holder (200 guests) and someone was capable enough of opening every card and stealing the cash, checks, and gifts cards out of all the cards. How do you know you will end up with around 75 cards?

If you find one your like you can always spray paint it! I bought four birdcages at Ross and Marshall's a while back. Some were pink, one green and another brass colored. FH spray painted them all gold to match and they look lovely. Most craft stores should have them too.

Oh gosh! Thats horrible! That's absolutely crazy for someone to do that, but thank you for giving me the heads up Mrs. DelGrosso. I just threw out a number. I should probably get a large one to be able to hold around 100 really, but we shall see. My biggest concern was spending all this money on something and possibly have to leave it behind. I will look into those places that you all mentioned. It may be worth waiting until I get to Miami (where I am having the wedding) and spray painting and decorating it there versus buying it at home and then shipping it.

I'm, using a birdcage as well. I bought mine from Michael's for $15.00, and its a good size one. They have them in a good range of sizes as well as prices. We also plan on spray painting ours a gray or silver to match with my color scheme.

Yeah I may go the spray paint route. i just need to make sure I do it as soon as I get into town so that it will be dry enough to be decorated before the ceremony. I do not want to worry about traveling down with it. Plus there is not a huge selection on Michael's or hobby lobby online.

If your venue hosts a lot of destination weddings, they may have one left behind by a previous bride. Have you asked what they have?

I ordered mine from Overstock for $25. You might be able to get it shipped to your venue.
