Just something for fun! Where are you going/planning/went on your honeymoon?! I honestly have no idea where we are going to go, there are just so many places I want to go to!

Ohhhh I'm gushing over the ideas in this thread! We've just started talking about the honeymoon and FH is leaning toward Ireland. Can't wait until we actually book something!

@FutureMrsHancock - I don't think so, but you will have to check with whoever issued your passport.

On the passport question, you have a couple of options, depending on your time line. If you get one before your wedding, but change your name, you'd have to buy a new passport ($110) with your new name if you want to travel in that name. They don't do amendments or changes for a reduced fee anymore. Or, get your passport now and make your travel plans using your maiden name, and travel in your maiden name. But, since the passport is valid for 10 years, that gets tricky later on if you do the full name changeover thing. Or, if you have time, apply for your passport with your married name, but it takes 4-8 weeks (more in the summer), so plan ahead. You can pay additional $$ for expedited service, but it only moves it up by a few weeks.

Sandals Halcyon Beach Resort in St. Lucia over Christmas! I live in northern Vermont and I'm a teacher, so that will be the perfect time for some sun and sand and adventures to decompress.

Hoping for the Amalfi Coast and Capri in Italy! It's hard to find romantic, beachy locations without Zika!

Since we'll be moving my FFIL to Texas after the wedding we're having to put the honeymoon off for a couple months. So we finally decided on the time of year last night. Now we just need to decide between Australia, French Polynesia, or Iceland. We want to make sure it's a once in a lifetime trip!

We just got back from Memphis and Nashville. We spent a lot of time out doors hiking, and eating delicious BBQ.

We decided on South Lake Tahoe, CA! We were looking for a place free from Zika concerns as we hope a baby is in our near future.

We are going to an all inclusive adults only resort in Playa del Carmen, for a week!!! We are so excited. It will be the first time either of us has been outside the US.

As for the passport question, I was told when we got ours 2 months ago that if it is changed within a year or six months, that they will issue a new one for free with my name change. Not sure on the time allowed but I remember that I will have my name changed in enough time to get a new one for free
