When to start tanning? Spray or real?

CuteNickname, on March 4, 2017 at 10:14 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

Hi Ladies! And gentlemen. Happy weekend. Not sure why my wedding date isn't showing. I'll try to fix that. It is July 2nd. I've lurked here for a while and commented occasionally. I even had some posts early on months ago when I had some really bad ideas about how to host our wedding. Grateful to this community. Anyway let me get to the point. I'm very fair-skinned naturally and rarely get a tan. Partially because I'm afraid to get burned when I'm out in the sun, and partially because I have an office job and rarely actually get out in the sun. I would like to get a little bit of color before the wedding. Looking for recommendations on how to gradually build up a minimal tan. When should I start? Would I be better off just doing a spray tan? Help appreciated. Thank you.

Spray tan is the way to go. Start trying out a few different places now since you have the time.

I was looking into spray tan until a few photographers on here suggested how aweful they all look in photos , i would go into a salon and they can point you in the rite direction to start your base tan then go from there

No photo is worth the health of your skin. Don't get a real tan.

If you want a spray tan, start trying out places now because you want to make sure you don't have a reaction to it.

I second From AtoB... I love that stuff. It's subtle and easy to apply... just double check if it has sunscreen it's NOT a good idea day of for photography reasons but wouldn't matter if you'd been building the color. It's quite easy to use.

If you need to tan get a spray because it's so bad for your skin.

I would be afraid because I know people that have gotten it and by their honeymoon it started wearing off.

I would also be afraid to not look like my normal self but that's just my thought.

I have fair skin, and I used to dislike it when I was really young but now I love it. Here is an example of me and my FH.

I would steer clear of actual tanning beds. I'm very fair skinned, and the few times I went (in my teens, before I grew to love my complexion) I actually burned from the tanning bed. Even at its lowest settings for minimal time. Add to that all the negative health effects, and I'd follow one of the other suggestions. ETA: words
