When to send save the date, invites, bridal shower...

So I'll be sending save the dates in a week or so (photos took a little longer to come back). I know invites are sent around two months prior since ours isn't a destination wedding or anything, so I'm thinking of sending them out in March. My mom mentioned today that invites for the bridal shower go out about six to eight weeks prior to event date (we are planning for end of march) - so all of this timing isn't making sense haha! When should I send everything out, especially so there is enough time between my female guests getting their invites and then getting their bridal shower invites?!

STDs- 6ish months
Invites- Depends but typically 2 months
Bridal shower- Not sure, I'd imagine a week or two after invites

My STDs went out like a month and a half ago I think sending invites out end of February and they are due back by April 1st.

No I am not planning my own bridal shower, but wanted to have a say in when it will be held as I am sure every weekend leading up to the wedding I will have lots to do!

I didn't think you had to send shower invites out that far in advance . My godmother told me my shower will be in August and mentioned sending out invites in July

Save the dates: send 6-8 months before your wedding date
Wedding Invitations: send 6-8 weeks before your wedding date
Bridal Shower Invites: depends on your crowd! You can send them anywhere from 1-2 months in advance of the shower!

I'm just chiming in to say I don't think I've ever gotten a shower invite of any type more than a month in advance. I think sending invites in February for a shower in March is fine.

Shower; 4-6 weeks.

Your wedding is 5 days before mine, and I sent out my STDs on Monday - I had issues as well.

I'm sending out my invites for the wedding no earlier than March 30th, and no later than April 13th. So basically in between the 6-8 week mark before the wedding. FWIW, my RSVP date is 5/1 and my final numbers are due 5/15.
