When to send out save the dates & invitations

My wedding is 9.19.21 when would I send out save the dates and invitations ? Is it 6-9 months before the wedding then 6-8 weeks for the invitations?

STDs 6-9 months before, invites 6-8 weeks before (slightly more if you have long-distance guests).

That is correct! We mailed our STD’s 8 months in advanced and we actually just mailed invitations 12 weeks in advance due to Covid...we wanted to give them time to get to our guests since mail has been delayed here and to give folks time to plan.
