When to pay photographer?

Breeanna, on October 7, 2019 at 5:55 PM Posted in Planning 1 5
So my wedding is coming up and I was trying to set tips aside to be paid day of wedding. Do you tip the photographer the day of the wedding? I've already paid them in full for the service but I didnt know when you give a tip. Do you wait until you get pictures back so that you can tip based on the quality of pictures?? Or just tip day of and hope the pictures are good?

Thanks in advance

I would too after you get your photos. You don’t know if you’re happy with their services until you see the outcome.

I wouldn’t until you get your final photos.

I think protocol is to tip on the day. Usually one person is assigned the money envelopes to hand out at the wedding. You’re paying them for the photos already, so I would think if you’re not happy with them, you can dispute when you have them, but I believe tips are generally expected the day of. Although, I read that if a person is a private photographer, meaning they have their own business, you don’t necessarily have to tip them. It’s more expected when you hire a big company that assigns someone.
