My wedding is May 26, 2018 and I had all my BM order their dress by January 10th. Some girls won't get their dress till March because the shipping takes so long. I just wanted to make sure everyone had enough time to get their dress, get alterations if needed, and time in case something went wrong. I think the sooner the better but it is up to you.

My wedding’s in May and I had all the girls order theirs in early November. Some of them were told if they had waited until December or later for their styles, they may not have gotten them in time.

One of my girls got lucky and hers shipped in December. But yea, you never know how long some of them might take. Better to start earlier than wait and run into problems!

My wedding is July 7 and I gave my bridesmaids a deadline of March 7 to accommodate shipping (expected delivery 6-7 weeks according to Azazie) and to leave room in case any alterations are needed. I would even push it back to April 7 since there’s still some room. I just like to get things done early.

I asked for the bm's to have them ordered by the end of the month for my wedding in July. I think that's good time.

My wedding is in June. My BM dresses were on sale in November and I had the girls order. They only took a week to come in. We ordered from David's Bridal.

My wedding is in April. We shopped in December and had to find my wedding date at DB to Feb or non of my dresses would have made it on time. Thankfully. The two bridesmaid dresses that were the same pattern came first week of Jan vs last week like it was expected but haven't been altered yet. My last bridesmaids is due Feb 10th but it needs no alts. My dress is due Feb 13th and I'm scheduled alts Feb 17th which could take 4-6 weeks. If I had given them the actual wedding date of April 7th for the wedding date in the system the system said my dress would come In 4/8.

My junior and flower girl went shopping Jan 6th. They did Feb wedding date and dresses are due late Feb.

Older sister, mom and I just went bridesmaid dress shopping yesterday at a local boutique. We found the perfect dress for everyone to wear (only 1 uniform dress because it's more convenient for my best friend in Virginia and younger sister in Alaska). The consultants said to order them by the end of February since I'm getting married in early September.
That way, the dresses come in in about 3-4 months, and there would still be time for alterations before the wedding.

There’s typical time frames of when to order bridesmaid dresses. If you are ordering large quantities of the exact same dress. Or you are ordering dresses for a peak season wedding. You’ll want to order 6-8 months in advance. If you’re ordering for an off peak season you’ll want 5-6 months in advance. If you shop any less than 4 months in advance you may be limited on what you can order. However, there are still many options available in the 4 month window. I’ve also had brides with small wedding parties find their dresses at Macy’s of the rack and took them home that day. If you need more help email me at ****@**********.***! PS...I ordered my wedding dress 3 months and my 5 brides maid dresses 2 months before my wedding. No problem. Don’t hesitate to ask the owner to call in a favor to the manufacture if you’re on a tighter time frame.
