When to open Rsvp's?

Are you having a plated or buffet dinner? If you’re having a plated meal you’ll need their entree selection with their RSVP, which you won’t be able to do without having your menu finalized first.

We also liked the flexibility to add information that we wanted people to see when they went to RSVP, such as shuttle info, welcome reception details, etc. given that most people won’t go back to look at the website again.

I'd do it after the invitations go out. I accidentally left mine up on the site when I sent out STDs and had someone RSVP with a date who I didn't think would be bringing a date (she's coming from across the country and her parents are paying). Now I'm gonna have to reach out closer to the wedding to confirm her +1. Not a huge deal, but it's just easier to keep RSVPs closed till you send invites with instructions to RSVP.

Well, I am having a plated dinner so I need guests to indicate their meal choice when they RSVP. I opened up my online RVSP once I have finalized the dinner options and had that question ready to go (probably 3-4 months prior to my wedding). To date, only 2 people found the online RSVP prior to invites going out.

I had mine open when I sent out STDs so some people have already RSVPed, family and bridal party who are for sure yeses. I thought it was fun to see some people so excited for our wedding.

I opened ours already, I don't think people will use it until they know they are invited anyway
