We are wondering when’s best to honeymoon. Getting married in June debating between going right away (the first Wednesday after) or waiting a few months and going in September.

We are worried going right away that it will all be over and done with so fast, but we believe it will feel like more of a honeymoon going right away.
Waiting 3 months after in September (which is also my birthday) we are worried it will feel like just another regular vacation and our just married vibes will have worn off.
What did you do? Do you think it’s best going after or waiting a few months? Thanks for the input!

We are going right after. Wedding Saturday, we leave Monday. It was all in our 30 day leave plan. My parents are watching our dogs while we run away to Europe for 2 weeks. Pretty sure I'm more excited for the honeymoon at this point. I love to travel though.

We're in NYC and we took a mini-moon to Montreal 2 days after the wedding and our real honeymoon to Portugal 5 months later.

We wanted to go right after, however, there were no flights available using our points. So we are going a month later. Smiley smile We are just going to hope to drag out the good vibes for a month.

We're getting married in March so we're going to in Iceland the first week of April!

We're going through a tour group called G Adventures. Flights, accommodations + activities translates to roughly a $6,000 trip (so definitely not the cheapest international trips I've done but going through this company undoubtedly saved us money!).

    Here is our itinerary:

Hey, thank you so very much. I’ll definitely be giving them a check out and see what we could come up with. Many thanks for the itinerary share.

We are leaving 10 days later. We both wanted enough time to tie up loose ends at work to make our honeymoon smoother and stress free!

We decided to go right after the wedding. We get married in April. My birthday is also in September 🤗. I share your sentiments about going at a later time, it will feel like another vacation. Going right after will continue the vibe and allow you to celebrate your union without the distractions of work and everyone asking you how you feel now that you’re married. Your wedding day is going to go by fast (so I’ve heard) so your honeymoon right after will allow you to take everything in. I hope I helped!

We went a couple weeks after our wedding but it was really just due to flight costs and our availability. I also don’t think its bad if you go later. I know tons of couples who take a honeymoon later on
