When to go dress shopping

Cynthia, on January 31, 2020 at 5:32 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3
I know they say a year to 10 months out from wedding day. BUT I'm 3 months pregnant with my 3rd baby so I look a little bloated already. My wedding date is May 1, 2021. I'm due in August. Should I go dress shopping now with the tiny bump.? Because after I'm due I'll have 9 months until wedding date. But I'm afraid that's not enough time. And do I really want to be trying on dresses after I have a baby,? I'm so stuck on what I should do.

I’d go now. If you wait until after the baby, you’ll likely still be bloated and have pregnancy weight on you.

You can go now to try on a dress and get feel for what you want style wise . After having the baby go back again to make sure that’s what you want .. Because once you have the baby I’m sure you will tired and busy with other arrangements but trying a dress on now won’t hurt .. Either way your gonna be FABULOUS 💕

There's also the option of sample sales. I went to a sample sale at Wendy's bridal, found a dress I liked, and was able to bring home the same dress that day. I'm still losing weight so will have to have it altered but that's fine. My step-mom works at a wedding dress shop also, and she said it's better to buy a dress at your current measurements because it's easier to alter the dress down sizes than it is to make a dress bigger if a bride were to not lose as much weight as anticipated etc. Sample sales are also usually discounted which was a plus 🙂
