When to give corsages and boutonnières to family?

Delaney, on April 19, 2023 at 11:14 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 7
Wedding in 2 days!! We have a super small rehearsal dinner the Friday evening before the big day with all our family in attendance. The morning of at my home is for my parents and bridal party and my groom and his groomsmen only so I am not sure when to give the flowers for the corsages and such. I don’t want anyone to feel left out at the rehearsal if I give them privately to each member at the end since we will have a couple people in attendance who won’t receive any, but I can’t add all the members receiving corsages stopping by the next morning as I’m getting ready to get them due to not wanting to add extra stress to the morning. I have also been told majority of people receiving them won’t be stopping by in the morning. Easiest thing would be for them to get them at the rehearsal, but I didn’t want to be rude. Thoughts? Also thinking of maybe putting the corsages in bags and handing them to the family members getting them on their way out the door from the rehearsal dinner.

Normally these are handed to the wearers on the day of. Do you have a coordinator that could hold on to the them and be the one to hand them out that morning? My coordinator was in charge of handing out all the corsages and boutonnières once the florist made the delivery. Whoever was not at the getting ready hotel (like our ushers), she had her partner deliver them to our church and they put them on 30 mins before the ceremony.

Like others said, it is given the day of. Have your wedding planner/DOC take care of it.

If that isnt an option then ask someone not in your bridal party (Like MIL or Mom) to hand them out as guests arrive

We’ve always seen them given out the morning of no more than an hour before the ceremony starts at the venue so that they are fresh and no one forgets them at home.

Make a list of everyone you want to have one and then the florist and coordinator will tag team on making sure everyone who is supposed to gets theirs. That also requires you to tell them to be at the venue at a certain time.
