When to get your nails done?

Tamia, on November 21, 2022 at 1:14 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 8
Wedding day is this Saturday the 26th!!!! I’m planning on getting a full set of acrylic nails but I’m not sure if I should get them done tomorrow or Wednesday. I have a lot going on Wednesday, but not sure if tomorrow is too early to get them done?

I got married on a Saturday and I got mine done the day before. Some of my bridesmaids and my mom went with me to the salon to get manicures and pedicures. We went in the morning before the rehearsal. Depending on how get your nails done would probably determine when the best time to go would be.

If youre getting a full acrylic set tomorrow will be fine, especially if you are used to wearing them. They're pretty tough to break. That also leaves you time to go in and get them repaired of re-done if needed. For reference I get gel done every 3 weeks and they don't start looking grown out until about 2.5 weeks.

Don't stress about it, you can do it tomorrow at your convenience, the acrylics are pretty strong, so do it when it is better for you.

I think tomorrow would be fine since you have a lot going on Wednesday. Too many appointments in one day will cause you to feel overwhelmed and stressed. I almost scheduled mine the day before, but with the Rehearsal and last minute things going on, I’m really glad I didn’t! As long as you’re careful until Saturday, you should be good. Have FH open cans, peel stickers, wash dishes, etc until the wedding day. That’s honestly what I do when I’m trying to preserve my nails for an event 😂 The hubby doesn’t mind 😁

I got mine done 2 days in advance. I'd recommend not trying to squeeze an appointment into an already busy day if you can avoid it.

A full set of acrylics will look brand new for a solid 5 days before growth, so I think you are fine with getting them either day (Today or tomorrow). I'm getting mine done the Thursday before my Saturday Wedding, only because thats the day that worked best for my schedule. But I just got mine done last Friday and they still look brand new 5 days later.

If you're going acrylic with a color (vs the traditional white and pink powder French tip look) I do suggest doing a gel polish over the acrylic as it will be extra secure against chipping and breakage.
