When to get hair done

Emma, on September 3, 2020 at 7:10 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 7
I need to get my hair touched up before the wedding. How far in advance should I go? I was thinking an appointment the Monday before would be good. This is what we did last time which was 6 weeks ago. It technically still looks good, but by then it’ll be going dual

I went the Tuesday before my Saturday wedding because my hairdresser tends to stain my forehead and I wanted it to be gone before the rehearsal dinner lol. I don't think there's necessarily a right time, but anywhere from 2 weeks before to 2 days before should be fine!

I wanted to go the weekend before but I’ll be out of town. Now I’m thinking if I do the Monday I can get my eyebrows waxed at the same time

I went 2 weeks before because I had to have my extensions match. Also, in case there were any issues, I had time to get them resolved!

Depends! Ask your hair professional. I did bridal portraits a month before the wedding and had my hair cut and highlights done the week before those photos. I had an appointment then the week leading up to my wedding to touch up and when I got to the salon my gal told me I could probably get away without another touch up (minimal growth) but let me make the call. This was pre-COVID and I was already in the mindset of having the appointment so had her go ahead and touch up the cut and highlights anyways. So really depends on how fast your hair grows and if you’re doing any hair color.

I got my hair cut & highlighted two weeks before the wedding, then I did one hydrating mask per week up until then & didn't use hot tools at all.
