When to do trial

Kristen, on February 13, 2020 at 11:40 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 35

I am sure this question has been asked but I know it is suggested to do the trial on a special day but I luckily as a teacher got a bit of a bonus in my check (happy dance) and thinking to do my trial now. Would that be too early? Should I wait?

For I would say wait. You have the time so dont rush anything. I did my makeup early on for my engagement picutres and now waiting to do hair for my bridal shower. It makes me feel better knowing I'm all dressed up and hair done for everyone to see. If you can wait, then wait.

I would say to wait a few more months. I just got both my hair and make up trial for my June wedding.

My only concern would be is your hair the same length now that it’s going to be for your wedding? Because if you’re trying to grow it out more it could be a few inches longer by the time of your wedding and that could really change the look

So you're doing hair and make up separately? I know the place I want to deal with said to do the same day to ensure I have the same artist.

I used mine for date night lol. But if we were going to have a bridal shower or a wedding shower, I would have saved it for that. It was really odd to be walking around doing our normal errands with a full face of makeup and fluffed hair - you can always earmark that money and save it for when you have an event? Or use it and surprise your fiance with a full face of makeup and special dinner.

Eh, maybe you should just use it for date night! Then again, I'm so excited for our day that I'm bouncing around and waiting for my next fitting. It's nice to do a little thing for the wedding, even if it's just a preview of hair and makeup. Plus plenty of time for him to forget.

I did my hair & makeup trial before booking anyone. So I did it early to make sure all the good hair/makeup artist did not book up. I believe my trial was done around 7 months before my wedding. I actually liked the first girl I went to, so I booked her afterwards.

I did two trials, one a year out and one a month out. I think if you have all your accessories & veil & plan on keeping your hair color & everything, it would be fine. But I'd wait if you can!

I did mine about a month out and did it on the day of H's birthday when we were having a small party that night. I would do it on a day you have something special planned or a date night. I def would wait if you are thinking about growing your hair but if not … .do it whenever you want!
