Seamstresses recommend starting 3 months before the wedding.

Around 3 months before the wedding is when alterations should start, but don't wait until then to reach out to a seamstress. They can book up quickly, so anytime between now and January would be a good time to start reaching out to seamstresses to ask about pricing and to get on their schedule for alterations.

I’ve also heard 3 months is rule of thumb but if you’re weight doesn’t fluctuate a lot and you’ll be a similar size already, I’d say the sooner the better in case you go for a round two of tweaks at the 3 month period
