When should we mail Invites?

Invites are mailed 6-8 weeks before the wedding. Replies are due 3 weeks with a week buffer to track down people who haven’t replied and tally them to give to the caterer. Guests are not able to predict anything as far as availability before 4 weeks, and employers don’t give final schedules before that time either. If you send them before 6-8 weeks, people will lose and forget the info and think you are B listing

November is outrageously early. Your guests have your date, they have all the info they need to plan travel. No need to send invites earlier than usual. Early January is perfectly fine.

I think New Year's invites sound perfect. At most maybe send an email reminding people that travel information is on your website. But, I wouldn't jump sending the invites.

I'd still only do 2, maybe 3, months in advance. We had a lot of out-of-town guests too and had our RSVP deadline set for 4 weeks before the wedding (caterer needed numbers 3 weeks before so we gave ourselves 1 week buffer to track people down, which was plenty of time) and sent the invites out 4-ish weeks before then, so only 8 or 9 weeks in advance. Long story short I'd probably send them right after January 1st so they're less likely to get lost in the sauce of Christmas cards

I would definitely send them out before the holidays so people can have time to plan! So Nov 15 sounds good! That means people should get them by thanksgiving!
