when should my rsvp date be?

When is your final head count due to the caterer/venue? Your deadline should be a month before that so you have time to deal with late RSVPs and ppl canceling and adding dates. Plus, it gives you time to make your seating chart and escort cards.

I think that's great! You could even do it May 7th in case some people send them at the last minute (I was advised to do that by a few of my married friends).

I was told it is supposed to be 3 weeks before the wedding. My date is April 30 and the rsvp date is April 9 (on a side note, I like that date since that's when we got engaged =)) Anyway, 3 weeks for you would be May 21

We set ours to be April 30th. We figured many would wait until that day to mail it.. so then we would have them by the 5th or so. Gives us about 14 days to chase down non-responders and get the table assignments before the final count is due to the reception hall.

I'm getting married the day after you, my "respond by" date is May 8. I can be a stress case, so the more time I have to get the final count, make place cards, seating chart etc etc the better.

Yup, I accidentally put the respond by date a bit early (end of February, I know I'm horrible)... but I'm not going to call any no-responders until probably mid-March (thats my way to make up for it, lol). Personally, I think May 14th would be just fine, but I too like to know the details ahead of time, lol. Good luck!

I only allowed 18 days on mine and that was soooooo not enough time to chase down all the people that didn't RSVP. Your date of May 14th (or even one the week before) sounds good!

I woudl do it 3-4 weeks before the wedding date...so either the 14th of may or even the 7th? I'm with Konichiwa on this!
