When should i start dress shopping?

I booked the place where I am having my reception at a year prior our wedding date 7/18/2020. We are having a church ceremony’s, we took all the classes the church required and paid our donation to the church. Book our photographer and videographer, hotel room and hairstyles, make up artist and I bought my dress August 2019 they ordered my dress and I will see it again in April. IF you have a date for your wedding, than starting early is a good idea.
