I am getting married on 9.24.2020. I already know the type of style I want, but not necessarily the specific dress. I will be going to a boutique salon as well. I am very busy with work and I just don't know when I should take the time to start looking, especially since the holidays are coming up...

I am getting married on 9.24.2020. I already know the type of style I want, but not necessarily the specific dress. I will be going to a boutique salon as well. I am very busy with work and I just don't know when I should take the time to start looking, especially since the holidays are coming up and I feel like boutiques will be closed during the holidays. Should I look now before Thanksgiving and Christmas? If I do find one it has 6-8 months to come or should I wait until January, but I feel like I will be cutting it so close!! I just don't know what my timing should be.

I think 10-12 months is a good time frame. It's taking 6 months for mine to come in. And then there will be fittings and leaves time for alterations.

My dress took 6 months to arrive and another 3 for alterations, so I'd start looking for your dress now so you have time & the ability to go to lots of dress salons.

My wedding is Oct 24,2020 and I keep hearing two different things. One bridesmaid is saying I should have already picked a dress. Another is telling me to wait until February because she is concerned I will change my mind once the 2020 bridal collections arrive.

I would start now and book an appt some boutiques can be booked til nxt yr depending on the boutique.. I did book others and i just looked at the 3 i went back and got my dress from 1 of the 3 and im happy i got my dress early due to money and budget i wanna get the payments out the way so when 2020 comes dress is paid4 and i just gotta worry about other stuff .. I got a size up so if i gain weight im ok and if i dont they can take it in... So just look into scheduling an appt doesnt mean buy that day but just look to be safe..

It can take 6-8 months to arrive (mine took 8). Start shopping now. It may take a few shops to find The One and you won’t need to stress by starting now.

Date twins! You should definitely go ahead and start looking. Dresses can take up to 8 months to arrive and then you have to factor in that you MIGHT need some alterations and that can take a little bit of time too. I just ordered my dress on Oct. 31st (I started looking around at the end of Feb). Its coming from Australia and with it being close to the holidays, I was told it would take about 6-8 months to come in. Then, not even a week later, I was informed that they will be shipping it on March 18th. YAY! I ordered when I did so that JUST in case it took 8 months, I would allow myself 2 months for alterations and not feel rushed.

Mines is 8.8.20 i started looking a months after i got engaged.. Now i booked 3places at that time on in February of 2020 due to that location being booked and the other 2 i was able to go in earlier now i didnt find my dress til 4months after being engaged and im happy due to the fact of the time frame it will take to get back.. Now if you know what you want and can pay for it on the spot or within a month or 2 payments then maybe looking in the beginning of nxt yr is fine but if not gather your crew and go this week some stores might have a 50% off sale for black friday... Call stores and see if they carry the designer you want and the styles
