When Should i Start Buying Some Favors?

Laquita, on April 14, 2021 at 1:15 AM Posted in Planning 0 13

Now that our state is beginning to open up (governor said June 15 is the projected date) and we're almost 100 days out, I need to start gathering up things for my favors. I wanted to do hand sanitizer (wasn't going to at first, but think it's a good idea alongside masks) so how soon should I start buy them? Our other favors are food items so I'm not getting anything until a couple of weeks prior. My wedding is July 25.

I’m all for early planning and getting whatever I can get out of the way done quickly. I would either buy in bulk or buy a little each month up until the date.

Buy as early as you want! Just make sure you have space to keep them lol (I learned about storage for wedding stuff the hard way 😂)

If you see any deals coming up for hand sanitizers then i don't see the problem in getting them now

I have preferred to buy a little at a time, I was unsure if it was too early for something like hand sanitizer lol

Good to know. I don't want to be stressed and do things last minute.

Hand sanitizer lasts forever. But favors are also optional.

I'm also all for getting things as early as possible. Heck, I think I bought my bridesmaid gifts back in... January? And that was before FH and I moved in together, so I had to deal with keeping track of wedding stuff during a move! As long as you have a dedicated storage spot for wedding stuff, I think getting what you can together earlier to avoid last minute stress is totally worth it.

We know, we're mostly doing candy as favors so that's pretty easy for me.

I had already started to buy some materials last September & thank goodness I'm not moving until after the wedding lol I've cleared a section in my room for wedding stuff, it's just keeping track of it & not forgetting that I have it is my problem lol

We just got our favors yesterday at 52 days out. (Wasn’t sure we were going to do them until recently) I say if you have the space, funds and idea of what you want to get for favors then buy now and I’m bulk. Things fly off the shelves in the blink of an eye. Catch the sales and discounts.

I just decided on the sanitizer like last night lol I figured something like this is best bought in increments, but wanted to be sure I wasn't starting too early lol
