When should i contact my coordinator

How many times did you meet with your day of coordinator? We Are at 42 days to go and Im wanting to finalize stuff with vendors soon but I kind of need to talk to my coordinator to get her feedback on things before I do. I met with my day of coordinator twice (the first time was the initial meeting to know her pricing & such, the 2nd time was very brief) neither times did we talk about wedding specifics because we met about 6months ago before I had all my vendors booked & things planned out.


I know day of coordinators are not wedding planners that are there throughout the entire process but I kind of think nows the time that we should start talking about stuff. Should I reach out to her now or wait a little bit?

    I actually met with mine once to do a run thru of the Venue but I wrote like a whole guide in addition to with photos of how I wanted things to ideally look on each table

    I would reach out to her sooner than later. Just say you're trying to finalize vendor stuff and wanted to run it by her

    Check your contract and see if they have any information.

    I picked a package where she would start 6 weeks out so I'm waiting until then to loop her in and she will also do a venue run through 2 weeks prior.

    Emailing her to touch base on the next step would be appropriate

    Oh ok. We actually dont have a contract. She is the coordinator for the church we are using and we both agreed she would also do the reception coordinating too. But shes not an “official” wedding coordinator, she does it as a side job.


    I think i will definitely reach out this evening. Maybe we can meet or talk next week

    Reach Out. I've met with mine twice. Once last August when we picked the venue and again in October to show the venue to my parents. We did a few emails and then hasn't spoken since late October. I recently reached out and said I wanted to talk details. Turns out I was on her list, but she was putting it off. We're now in the process of planning details for our May wedding this year., Chances are you're on their list but they haven't had time to reach out, I say go for it and make yourself a priority.

    Thanks we kind of have similar timelines. I think the last time we met was also in October & wedding is beginning of April. Im going to text her this evening when shes off from work.

    For sure. I think I just said "hey just checking in because we're 3 months out and I'm wondering if there is anything I should be thinking about?" She sent me a large email with about 8 questions regarding specific things and it was super helpful. I definitely feel like the ball is rolling again.
