When is peak season?

Lyndsey, on July 2, 2017 at 2:30 PM Posted in Planning 0 17

When searching venues it gives a peak season price. When exactly is peak season though?

It can depend on your local area, but generally wedding season is from late April/May to late October.

Peak season is usually mid to late spring and on through summer. You know, when the weather is nice and more predictable.

I find that it coincides with the school year too. The beginning of wedding season is often the same time as prom and the end is right around back to school.

It very much depends on where you're having your wedding.

I'm from AZ and our peak seasons are typically March/April and October/November.

Now lol. I thought it ended in September but apparently fall weddings are super popular now too.

Alot of venues in my area dont raise prices during peek season but some do offer discounts for fall/winter weddings.

In our area, April through October. But you'd need to ask venues in your area. A lot depends on when the nice weather is, which can vary locally.

Here in Utah, it's around May to mid/late October. It's all upon your area. By October/November, it's snowing here. Snow can stay until March/April. I have seen it snow in June before, but that was only once a few years back.

Edit: pricing mainly depends on the venue, despite the season.

In a general sense, I'd say end of March/early April to the end of October.

    It varies by location, though.

Each venue is different if you're looking at off season discounts. The two venues we ended up deciding between said Nov-March or Nov-April was off-season. That's in he Chicago Suburbs.

Depends on the location here in Florida it's actually November-march because that's the only time you don't melt the second you walk outside and it's still 60-80 through the winter. We chose California and peak is June through September. If we would have chose a May wedding we could have saved substantially, but in Tahoe they sometime still get snow in early May and it's quite chilly at night.

My venue doesn't have peak season pricing... I guess it depends on where you live and the venues that you're looking at!!

In my area (cold climate), peak was May to October. Nov - April was off season.

I believe its based on where your venue is located- here in Savannah if I wanted to have my wedding in june/july/august it would have been considerably cheaper than any other months. I guess it has to do with the heat- the hot/humid weather is definitely a factor if you're having an outdoor wedding.
