When does the flower girl walk?

Stephanie, on June 3, 2019 at 4:54 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 14
I've been to several weddings where the flower girl is the first person you see coming down the isle before your bridal party, and then some i've seen the bridal party come first, then the flower girl, and then the bride. Does it matter? Is it just preference? Thanks!

I've only seen them come down the aisle after the bridesmaids/groomsmen. It's your wedding though so do what makes you happy.

I don't think it really matters! The flower girl walking right before the bride is what I've seen the most though

Right before the bride! That way no one else steps on the pretty petals!

Mine is going to walk with the ring bearer so they don't get nervous being alone.

Our FG will be walking right before me but that's only because her mom is the last bridesmaids to enter the hall. We figured it would be motivation to get her down the aisle lol.

It's totally up to you. If they're shy and just want to get them down the aisle first then that's fine.

I think it comes down to the couple's preference. But I've never seen the flower girl walk down first. She's always the last one who walks before the bride. That's how I'm doing it.

I've always seen the flower girl as the last one right before the bride. My flower girl's petal basket even says "here comes the bride," haha!

I've always seen right before the bride. I don't like the idea of the flower girl going first and having to stand up front by herself.

Only the bride is supposed to walk on the petals! So the flower girl goes after the bridesmaids. Which is nice, because if she is going to stand up front, she will be able to go to the girls and stand in line then.

I’ve never seen a flower girl actually throw petals so I don’t know how much that bit matters!
Its clear here that right before the bride is most common , but for what it’s worth, this isn’t really something you can do “wrong” — processional is a lot of personal preference !

I've always seen / known the flower girl(s) to be the last ones before the bride.

From my understanding it’s supposed to be right before the bride. I think it would be nice to have ring bearer walk with the FG as well so they don’t get nervous

She comes right before the bride and drops petals for the bride to walk on.
