When do we give the gifts to parents/party?

Keshia, on July 11, 2019 at 2:04 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6
Hi everyone!
My FH and I are doing a very small (35 guests) destination-ish wedding (about 3 hours from home). We are having people trickle in throughout Thursday and Friday, with the ceremony Saturday and a thank you/clean up brunch Sunday morning before everyone heads back home. My question:
When are we supposed to give out our gifts!?

I have a bunch; something for all the adults in the wedding party, as well as all 6 parents (mine have divorced and remarried). Some are arriving Thursday, some Friday.

For the wedding party (we're all staying in the house together - apart from one couple who is in recovery and wants to be able to leave when the party gets a little rowdy) I was thinking of putting their gifts on their beds for when they arrive. For the parents, maybe the morning of the ceremony? When we're getting ready, maybe?
Also, looking at other forums, I'm thinking that I might have messed up by not getting anything for our flower girls and ring bearers. Do they traditionally get gifts as well?
Thanks!

Traditionally gifts are given at the Rehearsal Dinner. If you aren't having one the way you mentioned sounds fine. I would also get a little something for the ring bearer and flower girl. Doesn't have to be super sentimental or expensive, just a book or a small toy will do.

Usually gifts are given at the RD. Yes, you should also get the RB and FG a gift. It doesn't need to be expensive. I got my 3 year old RB a plush football and his FH sisters a pearl bracelet.

I will be giving the wedding party their gifts at the rehearsal dinner. I will give the Mom's and my Dad their gift the day of the wedding. As far as ring barrer and flower girl go I would say yes get them something as well.
