How early do I send out the invitations? I’m getting married in November.

Standard is 6-8 weeks before the wedding, but every situation is different. For example, most of our guests are OOT, and our venue requires a headcount 1 month prior to the wedding, so for our Sept. 28 wedding, we will be sending invitations out mid-July with RSVPs due Aug. 24.

I think we’re planning 6 months out, but that’s because it’s out of town and I want to give us and our guests enough time to make plans for it

Somewhere between mid to late August, and early September I’d say!

6-8 weeks is standard, but we sent ours about 10 weeks since it’s a Memorial Day weekend wedding and we needed head count earlier. I’d say definitely don’t send them earlier than 3 months (I felt like we were too early at 10 weeks). You can always send a save the date too.

We sent ours 3 months out. It was earlier than normal, but we need our final guest count 30 days out and we have a ton of out of state guests.

I am sending mine 12 weeks early. I know they say 6-8 weeks but we have a few vendors that have early head count requirements and we had some pretty awful STD delivery issues, the worst being that my parents STD took a month and a half to be delivered. We dropped them all at the post office a mile from their house since we were on our way there and it was more convenient than ours which is 15 minutes in the opposite direction of everything.

So we are kind of following the DW timeline on the invites. About 1/2 our guest list is from out of state and will have to travel a decent amount so we wanted to make sure everyone had enough notice. That being said, we probably won't start hunting people down until the first week of October (4-5 weeks out)

Mine is in November as well. I’m sending most of them out late aug/early sept. My fiancé wants to send his side in July because they’re military and need a physical invitation as proof to take their leave.

I'm sending mine out the week of July 8th for a Sept 28th wedding with an August 31st RSVP Date. Most places say 6-8 weeks but depending on how many guests you have traveling from out of town you could even do 10-12 weeks out.
