When did your guests rsvp?

Lindsay, on August 19, 2019 at 3:39 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 28
Just wondering when your remaining rsvps came in, right now I have 59 yes and 30 who haven’t responded. I’m really hoping I don’t have to chase down 15 couples. Our deadline is sept 14th and our wedding is oct 5th. Should I be concerned?

You have almost a month until your deadline so I wouldn't be concerned yet. Many people wait until the last minute or even send the RSVP card out on the due date, but even if not, 15 people to follow up with isn't too bad!

You're still gonna have to chase down people. I just got over this issue. Lol So frustrating but what can we do.

I wouldn't be concerned just yet. my RSVP deadline is the day after yours and I'm also still waiting for a bunch but i get excited everytime I get one Smiley smile

I'd be concerned if it was past your deadline or very close to it

We got a bunch (like 20-25%) on the deadline date. Ours were online so there wasn’t a delay with the mail, people just wait till the end! I wouldn’t get too stressed yet as there’s still plenty of time before your deadline!

Date twin!!! I am in your same shoes. So far we have 42 yes, 0 no, and 64 who have not responded. I am trying not to stress because it is still a few weeks before our RSVP deadline. The annoying part is many people have verbally told me they are coming, but have not actually RSVP'ed. All this to say, I will tell you what I am telling myself lol. Try not to stress yourself out. You have a few weeks before you have to start harassing people and many of them will send their RSVP's in last minute. It will all work out in the end.

You will probably have to follow up with some people, but there’s still plenty of time. Our due date was 8/16, and I’m giving people until tomorrow (8/20) until we start following up with a hard deadline of 8/23. I think people put them in the mail on the due date, as annoying as that it is... even my own dad hasn’t mailed his yet. 🙄

It’s so annoying lol my dad and I have a great relationship, so it’s not like his attendance is a question, but I need to know what you want to eat!

We had to chase down a lot more than 15 couples lol. Wait until after your RSVP date to reach out, a lot of people will probably put them in the mail on the day they're due.

I got mine around the 12th of August with a deadline of August 15th. Before that, I actually only had gotten 2.

My deadline is September 18th, we have 40 yes's, 6 no's and still 74 that haven't responded. I'm not gonna worry about it yet, as they still have a whole month left to RSVP! Smiley smile

We had to chase down 61 people (around 30 households). We steadily got 1-5 RSVPs per week until they were due.

We have a 118 that has not responded yet, and 91x that has responded. So far we have 69x yes & 22x no - out of the 118x that is remaining I am guessing that about 40% of them will say yes, and 60% will say no (most of the yes already came back).

It's only mid August. Give the procrastinators, and people who don't have work schedules so far in advance, some time.

DATE TWINS!!!!!!! My deadline is 9/5(a month before) but I did that because I didn't want to panic two weeks before.

I'll wait until the 7th or do to start bugging people.

    Don't panic yet!!
