When Did You Know They Were "the One"?

I myself knew when my fiancé was the one, when God would tell me how to deal and talk to him. I have never experienced the Lord interceding in any other relationship that I’ve had. I tried to run from him and cut him off and I wouldn’t have no peace in my heart. The Lord has his own plans for our lives, even when we don’t know it. I would’ve never picked him initially, but underneath some of his actions he ended being the best man for me. My life is forever changed.

For me it was when he told me one of his biggest secrets and I told him that it wasn’t a problem for me.

My Fiancé and I were dating for 2 months when my work assignment in Texas ended. I thought I was never going to see him again and our last night before I left I cried like a baby. I left to Arizona and although we talked I didn’t think it would go past where it did. Until 3 weeks later when he called and told me to look out my window and he was standing there.. He drove 2 days to get there and I ran out the door and jumped into his arms and we have been pretty inseparable ever since

I knew he was the one when we first met in person. I just got out of a relationship and wasn't looking for anyone at the time. Then when we hung out for the first time he'd make me smile more than I ever have. He'd give me butterflies and I was scared to feel that way again but couldn't help it. The more we talked the more I fell for him and when we started dating it was magical.

We had been dating for three months, when he went to India to visit his family he hadn't seen in four years. He was supposed to be gone a month, but because of covid, he was delayed. While he was there, his uncle passed from covid, and he decided he had to stay to help his family. When I found out he wasn't coming back, I knew I was losing the one. I tried to move on, but nobody compared. Then, about a month after that, he messaged me that he was in town. I thought he just came back to get his stuff, and it was really selfish to message me. So, I was very defensive when I replied. Then, I found out he was back for good. When we finally met up and he kissed me, it was the kiss of a lifetime. It was the way every romance movie leads you to believe it should feel. And I knew that I would never let him go again.

The first time I saw him, I thought, "he is a confident man who doesn't take himself too seriously all the time." The relationship feels peaceful. I'm not constantly worried about it. I started to doubt myself after about 2 or 3 months in, but once I learned to trust in my instincts, and to open up to him, he peace came, and I knew that was it.

I had a feeling all along it was the way he was with his kids the way he treated them and how he puts them first for me that was precious and I knew that’s the man I want to marry

For me my FH and i were dating after an 11 year friendship and my kids (from a previous relationship) had gotten sick. In the middle of the night both my kids (3 yrs and 6 months) woke up crying. Instantly i felt anxiety and felt like it was gonna be just me as it had been for a long time. Before i could even react my FH got out of bed (Hes VERY particular about his sleep 😂) and held my 3 yr old son comforting him and asking what was hurting. i was able to help my daughter and show him the medicine and how much to give them. Once the medicine, formula and a glass of juice were distributed We all went back to sleep peacefully in a matter of minutes, that normally would have taken me quite a bit of time. it is one of my favorite memories and i even mention it in my vows!! He may not even remember it but it was Definitely the "Aha" moment for me ❤️
