What's your thought on having Ring bearers?

Suzette, on September 10, 2019 at 11:35 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 16
I had my heart set on having a friend's son as my little ring bearer... But its not going to happen, and I really dont want another child to do it. Should i look for a replacement or just proceed with my little flower girl?😕

I would just proceed with the flower girl instead of having a second choise. If anyone asks or makes a big deal just say you felt safer having the rings with the best man instead of a child.

Personally, I would skip it. You can have the officiant or best man hold the rings. I've even seen the best man hold the ring the groom gave to the bride and the MOH hold the ring the bride gave to the groom, she had it tied to her bouquet. The best part about getting married in this time is we can include or exclude any traditions as we see fit.

We have a flower girl but currently no ring bearer and are undecided on if we will find someone to fill the role or just go without one. (Leaning towards without). I agree with the previous poster who said you can just tell people you’d feel more comfortable with the rings in the hands of an adult. If you want to have someone special carry up the rings instead of the MoH or best man, do you have anyone else special in your life who you would like to have involved in your special day but couldn’t find a way to include them? I know I saw someone post on here that they asked their grandmother to be their flower girl.

We didn’t have any close young boys, so we skipped a ring bearer and only had our niece as flower girl. It was totally fine. It’s definitely not a necessary role!!

You don’t need to have either if you want. I would stick with just the flower girl. We don’t have a flower girl, just a ring bearer. But he’s just really walking bc he’s cute and 18 months is too little to carry rings lol

I've decided to let my MOH hold his ring and the BM can hold mine.

I will not be having a ring bearer or flower girl, it's an adult only wedding. Modern times lol
