What's your recessional song/music

I used the Final Waltz and Apotheosis from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker as our recessional.

We used all classicial music for our ceremony.

We're thinking either Best Day of My Life - American Authors

or

Indiana Jones theme song, lol

We're going way contemporary for music, definitely. We don't have all of our songs picked out for sure yet but so far:

Prelude: a 12 minute piece that can loop from The Legend of Zelda soundtrack

Wedding party entry: still up in the air, we MIGHT use the prelude music here.

Bride entrance: as of now A Thousand Years, though that's likely to change

Recessional: Signed Sealed Delivered by Stevie Wonder

I very much wanted to walk down to Forever and Ever, Amen by Randy Travis, just trying to figure a way to make that work with the other music.

Sheesh...all we have really picked out, was my entrance music..."Heavenly Day" by Patty Griffin. I love love love this song! Now I need to think of the others...something light! Instrumental over lyrical for the procession, which is actually only him. LOL

I have nooo idea, so I'm going to read all of your ideas lol. We're having a guitarist play the music for the ceremony, so the tricky part is finding something that sounds good on guitar!

Bridesmaids: Maybe Canon in D (I've always loved it)

Bride: The Throne Room song from Star Wars Episode IV

Recessional: The Wedding March from "A Midsummer Night's Dream" by Mendelssohn - double meaning since we met at auditions for that play.

I'm thing my recessional should be traditional since all my weddings songs (except for the unity box) are traditional.

After a big fight on music, I suggested, "Well, do you want us to walk to "Star Wars?" which made us both laugh, and we ended up with "The Imperial March" for our processional and the theme from "Superman" for our recessional-- got everyone smiling, which is exactly what I wanted!
