What's your opinion on tan suits?

We're also doing tan suites for FH and his GM. FH will have a pink bowtie and the GM will have pink long ties (like a blush tone). I say go for it!

Here's a suite FH tried on at Macy's, it's a bit darker than the tan you have pictured, but I think it's fine either way. ETA: Ignore his face lol.

I think they look nice! I think they'll be perfect for a spring garden wedding

In the right setting, they look great! Spring outdoors, beachy, etc.

I personally hate tan suits with a passion, but that's just my personal taste, lots of other people like them - go with your gut!

Not a fan. I think they belong as summer or beach wear.

I hate tan suits- but I also hate khakis and that color. It just does not look good on anyone. I loathe them. But you do you. Who cares what I think

I personally can't stand tan suits. I think they are a fad and people will look back at them like powder blue tuxes. I think it would be better to pick something more timeless like black or grey.

We are also planning tan suits - it's FH's choice. We are having an outdoor summer wedding and our colors are blush and tan. I'm disappointed to hear that people think they are hideous, but FH really wants to wear tan.

We were initially planning a beach wedding, so I guess that's where it started. (We are now getting married at a historic mansion on a river.)

Tan suits have less rewearabilty than black, gray or blue.

I don't love them honestly; they really aren't flattering to many guys. I can understand them in the summer when it's screaming hot, or yes...the beach.

You're still in early spring; I think you could get away with dark grey or black.

Personally I think grey would go nicely with your colours. But then I also hate tan suits in any setting so I'm a little biased.

Personally I don't like them. I feel like it washes people out. I prefer a dark grey, black, or even navy.

I genuinely don't understand the aversion to tan suits. I feel like people either like them or really hate them.

I think what I like about them that I don't like about gray (black and navy are out of the question, too dark) is they're warmer looking than gray. I don't know, I guess I'll have to keep thinking about it.

I'm also looking at my wedding as very garden party-like. It's not formal, but not casual either. Ugh decisions.

We are doing a dark tan from Jos A Banks and we are getting married in a month. Get what you and FH want. Its no one elses day! It will obviously look better with a dress shirt but this is the color we went with!

I am going with tan or grey suits so I think they're ok.

How about a lighter blue?

Or even a blue-gray color?

@txncdelphia - I've thought about a light blue, but I keep wondering if it'll be something I'm ultimately happy with down the line.
