Whats your favorite Fast acting Pimple Remedy

Emly, on May 15, 2020 at 2:41 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 8

At work we are now required to wear masks all day long and it is not doing any favors to my face Lol. I'm currently battling multiple Mt. Everests on my face and with 21 short days until the wedding I am kind of freaking. I have tried so hard to get my skin in a good place and right when I was able to do that it just all went down hill from the masks.

Whats your favorite on the spot pimple treatments??

Bonus points if any of you have suggestions for alternative mask materials that work well with sensitive skin? I have two cloth masks that were gifted to me so I'm unsure what they are made out of but they are incredibly itchy, same with the surgical masks we are given by our employer - I believe i am starting to have some type of allergic reaction or irritation from whatever materials they are made of. Any suggestion would help

Are you able to wear a scarf/bandana instead? I’ve been using a silk scarf and it isn’t tight around my chin, silk is best for your skin overall. For pimples I love Glossier zit stick!

This might sound gross, but it works! Toothpaste. Yes, I said toothpaste. At night before bed, spread some on each pimple. In the morning, the eruptions should be much calmer. It basically dries out the pimple so it goes away fast!!

Hi I have super sensitive skin. I bought a mask on Etsy. It’s cotton and isn’t straight across but looks like a little hill in middle. I don’t like the ones that go behind ears as well. I like the one that goes on back of my head and the bottom one ties. And dab mint toothpaste on pimples like pp advises. Also if I eat too much sugar of any kind my face breaks out a bit. Wash with a gentle soap. I love Cetaphil.

My suggestion would be to wash your masks every day and alternate between different masks. Also change your pillowcase frequently, like every 2-3 days (this is simply what has helped me). If you have a dermatologist, see if you can ask for an oral antibiotic to take short term before the wedding. If it's any consolation though, makeup artists work wonders. I had a fairly large pimple that my makeup artist completely covered up and I didn't even notice it in a single picture.

The toothpaste has to be the white toothpaste not any of the blue or green toothpastes. I have also heard of rubbing a clove of garlic on it

My go-to pimple remedy is warm water, a mild foamy soap, and a dab of clean & clear advantage acne spot treatment. It's a very small tube. It's oil free and has the best track record for getting my smaller pimples gone, or the giant ones calmer by the next day.
