What's up with all the hashtag posts?

I don’t know, I actually don’t even know how to use hashtags. I’m a social media hermit. I think they’re fun though, I wish I had an excuse to make one!

I do think they’re useful but absolutely nothing to stress over. I just made a super simple one. No one is going to really care what it is as long as they can find the photos.

They are used so all of your guest and post them in the photo caption on their social media and all of the photos from their wedding will be available in 1 place. It makes it easier for the newly married couple to find their guests photos. They are very helpful.

We used it on IG, Twitter, and Facebook. It was helpful to search one term to find pictures on socials.

Ohh, okay. Our friends who took pictures posted them on Facebook and tagged us, so no hashtags were needed. Neither of us are on Instagram, and only sporadically on Twitter. Plus it was a small wedding, so it's not like we needed to go looking for several different points of view of the event.

For Instagram photos. I will be using mine at my selfie station for people to post pics on line under or hashtag and we can reflect on them forever. If you’re unfamiliar wth Instagram then it ma the hard to understand the meaning of a hashtag.:::

We actually wound up using one of the hashtag suggestions to create an email address that we could both use for wedding updates and related emails.

I’ve never seen someone stress over it. It’s just fun to have for social media and some people are more creative than others.

So people can post pictures of your wedding.

All of our guests did the same thing. They just tagged us. I never got the whole I need to make a hashtag for the wedding either. I went to a wedding that had a hashtag and literally no one could remember it so no one used it. Maybe it's more of a crowd thing and crowds that are all into hashtags use them more.

I agree with original post!! I was remarried in the fall of 2017 and although I am pretty tech savvy, I had zeo clue what people meant when they asked if I was having a hashtag. We asked people to "Help us keep this event private by not sharing photos on any social media platform" so I guess that took care of that, lol!!!

It is a way for the couple to find guest photos posted on Social media.

Couples that are or have guests that are big on social media use them.

We made one because some of our friend are social media fiends. It will make it easy for us to find pics they post on any platform.
