I'm trying to figure out what order to do these things, or if really matters, so Im asking if you were a guest, -how would you want the order of events to go? It really does not matter to us, but we need to have it laid out. These are the 'events' that will happen after the ceremony... Dinner Cake...

These are the 'events' that will happen after the ceremony...
Dinner
Cake cutting
1st dance
Garter toss
Newlywed Shoe Game
Also, is it weird to do a garter toss but no bouquet toss?

    We're doing
    Intro
    First dance
    Speeches
    Dinner
    Cake cutting
    Dance floor opens
(Special parents dances will happen throughout the night rather than one after the other to break it up a bit.)
We also aren't doing garter or bouquet toss. Just not for us.

May I ask why no bouquet toss? If it's simply because you don't want to throw your bridal bouquet, you can always get a toss bouquet. Either a real one that's smaller or you could make or buy a fake one.

Soo we’re skipping the garter & bouquet toss because there really is no one single that will be there. But we plan on doing entrances— first dance— dinner— toasts — father daughter/ mother son dance— cake cutting— open the dance floor and get the party started lol

No, we just wont have many single women present. Less than 8 total, and 2 are teenagers. However, we will have 25+ single men.

Here is my timeline. We are doing it all early so people who are older or have health issues can go home when they want to.

I suggest having first dance after you are announced. Cake cutting can be done after first dance. Then have dinner. After some dancing have the garter toss.

These time lines are helpful as I'm working on rough draft and we will not have garter or bouquet toss. Our plan is to have short speeches and more party time. Smiley laugh

Not a problem, I'm happy to share. My company has an annual convention and we use an internal schedule similar to this one so I knew how effective it would be in keeping everyone on track.

We did our introductions and then our first dance. We had a blessing then dinner buffet. During dinner my dad did a thank you and we had the toasts, then an hour after dinner we did the father daughter dance, then mother and son dance and near the end the dj asked people to join in and said the dance floor was open! I think a half hour later we did the cake cutting.

I do think you need to do garter and bouquet or neither. And i would do the shoe game right before father daughter dance maybe? I’m not sure!
