I am in the same boat, My guest list is around the size. I found a venue I liked that had an all inclusive package for 5,000-6,000 which included the food, alcohol, dj, photographer and a cake, I still would need to pay for some other stuff like flowers, invites, our outfits and such. I have on here that I wouldn't like to spend too much more than 10.000. But right now I am wondering if I can do the whole wedding for 5,000-6,000 with finding my on vendors.

We are getting married Memorial Day Weekend 2021 at Hunter Mountain. It’s a ski/snowboard mountain in the winter and hiking trails in the summer. For 175 with top shelf open bar they quoted us at $31,000 which included tips and taxes. What I have quickly realized are how quick additional costs add up. $3000 for florist, $2000 DJ, $5000 dress. I would recommend making a list of things you want at your wedding such as DJ or band. Once you know what you would want you can price out vendors and see what you think is necessary and what could be expendable. We wanted a live band till the cheapest was $7000! Your vision may change once you get prices.

I'm not sure what you are including in that? Are you including your engagement/wedding rings? Your dress? Ours is pretty inexpensive with 80'ish guests in a bohemian setting. Here's the breakdown:

$16,000 Venue, Flowers, Food, Open Bar, DJ, Wedding Cake, Valet Parking (all inclusive place)

    $2000 for photographer

$600+ for invitations (this is for 2 batches as CV19 caused us to move it to July)

    $600 for minister

    So roughly $17,500

This doesn't include my off the rack sample dress ($1550), alterations ($1200!!), Veil ($100) Shoes ($100) (is this looking like a racket yet???), Hair & makeup the day of $400. Nevermind the jewelry, any makeup I purchase, hairpins, rehearsal dinner.

This also doesn't include my engagement ring or our wedding bands. No honeymoon planned as of yet. If you were to try to swing it this year you might be able to get some nice discounts. This is bad news but even for a modest wedding I'm guessing you'll have to possibly lower the guest count and up your price. You might be able to do a 100 person wedding in the afternoon with just a reception following for $15k. BEST OF LUCK!

I mean, I don’t know where you’re located so not
sure what the price range for these things are in your area. However, in my area, average photography packages were around $**** alone and flowers greatly range based on what you’re looking to do.

For those things you listed in your budget, I spent:
    Venue - $4k for ceremony space rentalCatering - $32kDecor/Rentals - around 10kPhotos/Video - $14kDJ - $2kElectric Violinist - $3kFlorals - $11k

I am having 125 guests and by budget is $7,500. We are doing almost everything ourselves. The only thing we hired out was the venue of course, the photographer and a BBQ company to cook the protein for the dinner.

It can be done, but you'll have some hard decisions to make about what to include and what to exclude.

We have about 80 people, and our budget is about $16K (including decor, attire, photog, DJ, DOC and venue that includes food/drink/all tables/plateware/etc).

The biggest expense is the food. If you can get a good deal on catering then everything else is no problem with keeping it within your budget. We are spending about 10k for our September wedding. And that is without doing any flowers. Flowers are really expensive!!!

Your dress was $5000? Is that with alterations or base price?

I think you should up it to 10K and I see you getting everything you need Mississippi isnt an high end state.

You just have to be smart.

I say azazie- wedding dresses/bridesmaid dresses- very affordable- DB can be affordable but don't do tailoring there it can cost more than dress.

Vista print or amazon don't sleep on amazon I got my invitations from there including my response card for $60 - 75 invites, information cards, response cards.

Photographer- up and coming photographer- they go over board trying to establish new business-(oh course check out their work first)

DJ- everyone knows a good DJ ask a close friend to assist MCing

Decor- dollar tree/etsy for design options/oriental trading. - Fllowers from wholesale- Costco

Food Buffet or differnt food stations.

Taco bar- chips, tortillas-meats-gauc,salsa,beans,sour cream, cheese, lettuce, tomato, etc

Burger bar or hot dog bar(grilled or boiled)- Burgers or hot dogs, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, sauces buns

Fruit/cheese table- assorted cheeses, meats, fruit, crackers, sliced break

BBQ station- pulled pork, BBQ chicken, mac and cheese, baked beans, rice

Fondue table- melted chocolate (white, milk) strawberries, pretzels, bananas, marshallows, cookies etc.

keeps your food cost in prospective don't have to do all but just some suggestions. feel free to hit me up if you need anymore help.

It was a Hayley Paige dress from Kleinfeld. $5000 is alternation, veil and obviously the dress. It was her trunk show so it was a 12.5% discount. I had to put down 60% of the original price of the dress which was about $2800. When they dress comes in it is an additional $900 for alterations. I definitely did not intend on spending that much but I’m obsessed with it.

    Congratulations!!!

Budget all depends on what you are looking for on that special day. We are around 35K for our 150 person wedding but that's a seated dinner, open bar and all the trimmings. We also were originally getting married in June and now December so I believe we had peak pricing as well due to the time of year.

That’s all vendors, attire and rings so far. We will be adding more to that total once we add in honeymoon, pre wedding services (facials, etc).

Wow! That‘s a really good price. We’re at about $30,000 for our venue/food/booze/bartenders/servers/set up. We live in NYC and honestly it’s a steal for NY prices. But it doesn’t include any other vendors.

Yes! Well we decided to not hold our wedding in our area (DC) and hold it in NC to save money! It’s amazing how differently priced things are in different areas.
