What’s the best way to book a honeymoon?

I have found that it can go either way. I have saved booking things separately as well as in a package. I think it depends greatly on when you are going, who you book through, and how long you are gone for. Your best bet would probably be to check prices both ways. Costs rica sounds so fun!

Normally you can get things cheaper if you do it separately, but sometimes travel companies have discounts you can't beat. I'm normally a die hard control freak, but decided to book through a travel company. We go in March, but so far I'm so excited we used a company. They can book everything for you including shuttles between airport, hotels, etc. They booked all our excursions, massages, private dinner on the beach, and they had a discount that allowed us to upgrade our plane seats for half the normal cost.

We went with a travel company for our honeymoon. Get the travel insurance too!

I would do a package, or usually includes the flight and sometimes meals, all inclusive is the best!

It may be easier and more convenient to do a package deal, that way you're not worried or stressed about the separate things you've booked through.

I've done it myself and I've gone through agencies. For the honeymoon, I'm going through an agency because we want to go to Europe for about 3 weeks. I might do the airfare myself because I know a few tricks, but the actual trip itself - hotel stays, transportation, and all those things that can be overlooked - I want someone who knows better to handle. They're also there when something goes wrong with or on the trip, so that gives me some comfort/peace of mind.

Travel agent, here! I highly recommend using a travel agent for this trip. Make sure your transfer and such are included.
