What's the average number/percentage for who will actually show...

So I finished putting together our invitations last night and we are at a total of 200 invited guests. We are hoping for 150. On average, what percentage of actual invited guests actually show up? Any thoughts? I'm concerned we may be over inviting.

Since you sent STD already you are kind of stuck. You do have a few options though:

1: cut kids. Seriously, eve though they are discounted it will save you $

2: Cut back on any upgrades. Drop the uplighting, cut premium from your bar and just serve basics, whatever upgrades you can drop and still properly host.

3: Get a part-time job. You'd be surprised how much you can make picking up some shifts on the weekends or nights.

Good luck. Oh and to answer your original question, we invited 102 ppl and and so far I have not received a single "no" even from ppl who will be traveling from the west coast....

I would take off the kids. Be sure to just address the invites to the adults "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" and not "Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Family." See if you can cut down to beer and wine only. Review your flowers, see if you can make any last minute affordable changes. No up lighting. Transportation? See if there it is an absolute necessity. You can fix this. Things happen

I invited 71. 70 RSVP'd yes. One decline. That's a 99% rate of attendance! Be prepared for all guests to come!

For my bachelorette party 100% of those invited attended. It was pretty big. I was really surprised everyone came.

Btw, some of mine were courtesy invites to people from across the country. They surprised me by coming for sure! Be careful with those.

Totally depends on the guests, location, other events etc. Experts say to expect a 10-20% decline (20% for OOT weddings, higher for DW)

For instance, we're inviting 155, The wedding is halfway across the country from most of our families, and it's only 2 months after my cousin's wedding. Because of those things, and because some of those are courtesy invites to people I know can't come for financial, vacation-time or health reasons, I'm expecting to actually host 100-125, which is the sweet spot that will meet our venue's minimum but not break the bank. But we're prepared to pay for 155 if we have to.
