What's supposed to be capitalized!? *pic*

Chris & Jennifer, on January 26, 2011 at 10:30 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

Im making my own invites and I'm just a little lost on what should be capitalized on the text. I've seen invitations capitalized all different ways. Is it just the first letter on each line, the first letter of each word (other than and, the, of, at etc.)? Can someone point me in the right direction? Here is what I have so far..(I hope its big enough to read) Thanks all! Smiley smile

    Along with

    request

    wedding

    --no capitals

the word "On Saturday" should be omitted, line should read simply Saturday

at and o'clock -- no capitals

    and

    no zipcode

I have a blog article is you need further assistance, but am not allowed to post a link for you.

Honestly, it doesn't matter! :o) Nothing is right or wrong. And in the end they'll all be thrown in the trash and nobody will care. Not trying to be mean. Its just one of those little things we stress about when in the end it doesn't really matter. I would just do what you think looks best.

Which words are capitalized? according to an article....

Capitalization can be very confusing when wording your wedding invitations. Words that are always capitalized should, of course, remain capitalized. As a general rule, the first word of the first line is capitalized, as is the first letter of the year, which should be on its own line. Numbers (other than the number part of the address or numbered streets with more than two numbers) and states are always spelled out.

I think it is "supposed" to be - at three o'clock in the afternoon -
