What would you do for reception, ventian table, fondue station, or candy table.

So this is what the venue offers

-Venetian Hour: 3 types of cake, 4 types of cookies/pastry, $6.00 per person

-Chocolate Fountain, includes fresh fruit, marshmallows, pretzels, pound cake, rice krispie treats $5.95 per person

or I there is a vendor that does a cancy table and set it up and delivers for free, I just do not have the information here at work with the money figures

Chocolate fountain! It's fun and has a variety of things that everyone will like (unless you don't like chocolate??)

Definitely venetian! I'm not much of a candy person but I love cakes, cookies and pretty much all pastries.

I would prefer chocolate fountain over candy, but it may get messy. Candy is also common.

Venetian. That's a new one for me and hopefully for a lot of your guests as well.

That's tough. Probably Venetian, but then the chocolate fountain is a very close runner up. I'm not a fan of candy buffets.

If you are having a separate wedding cake and/or desserts, I vote for the chocolate fountain. But if the chocolate fountain is supposed to be "dessert," I'd skip it and opt for the Venetian just in case someone who doesn't like chocolate is expecting dessert.

Chocolate fountains can get very, very messy. Do a really good wedding cake and a candy table. There is a limit to how much people can eat, especially at the end. Candy can act as the favors.

We are doing a wedding cake & a candy table Smiley smile I have heard mixed things about the chocolate fountain although I like them I rather save the $500 and use it towards more candy or something else for the weddding.

    Chocolate fountain!

Edit: As others mentioned the chocolate fountain might get too messy for the wedding. (I love chocolate though, but not sure how I'll feel about eating that while I'll all dressed up.

If you have a Venetian Hour. I would suggest slicing the wedding cake and giving it as a favor to the guest. (Seems like the venetian hour and a wedding cake would be a lot of cake for guest)

We're looking into having a candy bar for our wedding. Our catering at the venue also includes a dessert buffet as a part of the package, so people will still have that as an option as well.
