What type of veil with tea length dress?

Laura, on February 18, 2019 at 2:07 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15
I wasn’t planning on a veil but FH wants me to wear one so I may reconsider. But what goes with a tea length dress?
Here’s my dress:

I think a bird cage veil or waist/hip length veil would look beautiful with your dress.

Not crazy about the bird cage but I like the second.

I wouldn’t do anything longer than a fingertip veil.

Is that shorter than the hip length? I seriously know nothing about veils.

Oh darn, I prefer birdcage as well. I’m opting out on wearing a veil.

A shorter veil would definitely be best since the dress is short as well. A fingertip, blusher, or birdcage veil would be great options. I would suggest a plain tulle veil without embellishments like lace or bling because they would take away from the dress.

Hope i could help! Smiley heart

Thanks ladies! Guess I’m looking for a blusher or shoulder length veil! Still not sure I want to humor FH on this one, but at least I know what to look for now.

Shoulder length would be darling! I bought two on Amazon for $15 each--one was cheap & stiff, the other one was good enough for our local reception. Here's a pic:

My dress is ankle length, and I thought it looked best with a fingetip length (which I’m pretty sure is the same as the hip length veil pictured in one of the posts above. Since your dress is a little shorter, elbow length would probably be a good proportion.

Just as a side point, you don’t need to wear the veil for the entire event. If you’re comfortable in it, you could wear it for the ceremony and then ditch it.

I know I don’t have to wear it all afternoon but it seems a waste to spend money on it then barely wear it.

I can understand that. I’m not sure what your budget is, but I know a lot of brides have been very happy with veils off of Amazon. You can easily find something in the length you’re looking for at the under $10 mark. I picked out a second veil (first one came with the dress) for about fifteen dollars, and was quite pleased with it.

I was looking on Etsy where they’re considerably more than $10! I’m currently looking at lightinthebox.com. Anyone dealt with them?
