What type of Candy would you enjoy at a reception

CountryBride, on February 25, 2021 at 2:43 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 10

We are having a candy buffet and I was wondering what type of Candy would you enjoy? My fiancé and I love candy and since we are having a lot of kids we thought it would be fun to have a candy buffet that would double as favors, I am stuck on Candy flavors any advice would be appreciated

Prewrapped or loose candy? Ask your guests who are attending (family/friends).

My favorites are peanut M&Ms, Reese's mini cups, and Andes mints. Also individual wrapped Lindt truffles.

You can buy these inexpensively at candywarehouse.com

If you're having lots of kids, I'd have a mix of jelly bean and gummy-type candies and also chocolate candies. Then again, I'm an adult and would never turn down jelly beans

I made candy tables for the prom at the high school I work at. I try and do all the candy around a theme. We did a Under the sea theme one year and did all things shaped as fish and shells and beach related.

We also have done just color themes. Maybe you can do candy along with your colors? It may help narrow it all down!

No unwrapped buffets of any kind during Covid. But maybe a mix like wrapped gummy bears or jelly beans, and maybe wrapped rice crispy treats and or cake pops? Think about colors too. Something like this looks so nice! (without the unwrapped pieces)

We had a candy bar and it included a wide variety of candy that was red and black (our wedding colors). Ours included both dark and milk chocolate as well as non-chocolate candy like licorice.

We had one too and we did a variety! We had a couple of chocolates and a couple of fruit flavored candies. Just different things cause everyone has different tastes

What is the weather generally like during the time of the year your wedding is?
And is it outside or inside?
The reason I ask is because if it's outside in the middle of summer you probably don't want any kind of chocolate because of it melting. I'd go with gummy worms, skittles, maybe some kind of lollipop, jolly ranchers, Mike and ikes.

You could do gummy bears and the vodka gummy bears for the adults! (I love any kind of gummy bears)
