What to wear

Tiffany, on June 30, 2020 at 3:49 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

So we are postponing our big ceremony for the second time to next year due to covid but we do not want to wait any longer to get married! We are going to have a very small wedding with our close family and wedding party. I don't want to wear my original dress (which is a huge ball gown) for the smaller ceremony since the wedding will be in my backyard in August (its hot here!) and I also don't want my fiance to see it until the big wedding. What would you suggest wearing or what are you wearing if you are doing something similar? I can't decide if I want to get another "cheap" wedding dress that's not as big as my original one or if I just want to wear something white and simple like a jumpsuit.

I would do something simple like a short white dress or a white jumpsuit, even.

I'd say keep it simple girl. Short white dress or even a jumpsuit would be perfectly fine, plus it'd be so comfortable. We did a small, intimate wedding with just family and closest of friends last September for the hell of it because we were so excited and couldn't wait a year to get married. I wore a short white dress that I bought from a second-hand shop called platos closet actually. We are still planning on having our big wedding in January. You could try checking David's bridal, lulus, Windsor, fashion nova, etc. as they have some pretty budget-friendly alternatives to a wedding dress. Good luck ❤️

You can find a really pretty white dress at Lulus that will look bridal and be perfect for your backyard wedding.

I did the same thing! We postponed the reception and got married in a very small ceremony. I did not wear my original dress, but instead ordered on off of Lulus and it ended up fitting perfectly (just had to be shortened a bit). It only costed $70 and I added a $50 belt for some sparkle! People are excited my real dress is yet to come, and I think it’s pretty cool we ended up with two sets of wedding pictures in different outfits. I could send you a picture if you went to message me!

As pps have mentioned I would check out Lulus. That is where I got my 2nd dress from.

Same boat! I don't want to wear my big ballgown for our courthouse wedding and I'm saving it for next year. So I ordered a white floral dress off Lulu's for $90!

I'd go for a fun short white dress or a long white dress that's more casual! A bridal jumpsuit would be awesome! 😍
