What to wear under my dress

With my big day coming up fast, I realized I have not bought any of my wedding lingerie. I'm wearing a strapless mermaid style dress. Has anyone wore a similar style? What do you recommend I wear underneath, in terms of a bra, panties, shapewear, etc. Also where are the best places to stop?

If you’re interested in shapewear, I think spanx and maidenform are really good. Will you need a bra or do you have built in cups?
Are you interested in something cute or more practical?

Spanx is at most department stores and maidenform is carried at kohl’s.
As for lingerie you could always go to VS or another department store.

I’d just advise to think about how you’re going to go to the bathroom if you’re going to be in a mermaid and wearing shapewear haha
I have an awesome maidenform slip that is shapewear but instead of being shorts it’s a skirt so it’s a lot easier to pee with it on!
